While working with Rocky Mountain Field Institute on the Waldo Canyon Burn Scar today, I heard an Ovenbird singing in Blodgett Peak Open Space. Ovenbirds have been known to nest in Stratton Open Space near Colorado Springs, so this is not completely unprecedented, though nonetheless noteworthy. Unfortunately access to this area is restricted.
