ARCHULETA COUNTY:
--A White-winged Dove was reported by Allerton at Navajo Lake SP on June
25.  It was singing from a conifer next to the picnic pavilion at SP
headquarters.
--On June 25, Allerton reported nesting Black Phoebes at the Watchable
Wildlife Area on CO 151 near Arboles.

BENT COUNTY:
--An ad TRICOLORED HERON was reported by Peterson at Lake Hasty near Osprey
Platform on June 22.
--At Temple Grove on June 22, Mlodinow reported White-winged Dove and
Eastern Phoebe by the bridge.

BOULDER COUNTY:
--White-winged Crossbills were reported by Hansley on the Arapahoe Glacier
Rim Trail in Indian Peaks Wilderness on June 25.  They were high in Douglas
Fir Trees.  They were about 3/4 mile to 1 mile up the trail.  The trailhead
is at Rainbow Lakes campground parking area.  The Rainbow lakes road heads
west 6.2 miles north of Nederland from Hwy 119.
--On June 26, Boswell reported singing Fox Sparrows and 2 American
Three-toed Woodpeckers at Brainard Lake.

DELTA COUNTY:
--On June 19, Wing reported a pair of Black-throated Sparrows in Escalante
Canyon S of US 50 about 1.5 miles in.

FREMONT COUNTY:
--On June 14, Moss reported a Green Heron and TRICOLORED HERON at Holcim
Wetlands.  The TRICOLORED HERON was on the far west pond.  On June 15, Moss
reported that the TRICOLORED HERON continued and a LEAST BITTERN was found.
Please do not use playback for the bittern since it is likely breeding
there.  On June 15, Neldner reported that the Green Heron continued at
Holcim Wetlands.  On June 16, Moss reported that the TRICOLORED HERON
continues and two LEAST BITTERNS were seen.  On June 17, Drummond reported
TRICOLORED HERON and Green Heron at Holcim Wetlands.  On June 19, Moss
reported seeing the Green Heron but not the TRICOLORED HERON.
--On June 19 Moss reported a Black Phoebe near the river at Florence River
Park.
--On June 23, Moss reported a pair of Black Phoebe nesting under the
MacKenzie Ave Bridge in Canon City.

GRAND COUNTY:
--A singing Least Flycatcher was reported by Linfield SE of Kremmling on
June 22.  From junction of US 40 and CR 39, go south on CR 39 down a hill,
cross a large, wet meadow, in the deciduous woods on the left past a house.

KIOWA COUTY:
--A m LESSER NIGHTHAWK was reported by Mlodinow at Abode Creek Reservoir
(Blue Lake) on CR A on June 22.

LOGAN COUNTY:
--A Green Heron was reported by Mlodinow near a pond near "managers
Residence" at Tamarack on June 16.
--4 Great Crested Flycatchers were reported by Mlodinow at Bravo SWA E of
Sterling on June 16.
--A Bell's Vireo was reported by Mlodinow at Bravo SWA on June 16.

MONTROSE COUNTY:
--A Least Tern was reported by Dexter on June 18 flying about 2 farm ponds
on West 5th Ave in Nucla.
--On June 23 and 24, Dexter reported a LESSER NIGHTHAWK show in Nucla.
 There are between 300 - 500 nighthawks
flying around low over ponds and hayfields that have just been cut. The
nighthawks pass over the road, West 5th Ave very low and several LESSER
NIGHTHAWKS can be seen among the Common Nighthawks.

PHILLIPS COUNTY:
--A Bell's Vireo was reported by Mlodinow at the Lions Fishing Pond in
Holyoke on June 16.

DFO FIELD TRIPS:
The DFO field trip for Saturday, June 29 will be to Mt Evans and Summit
Lake led by Lynn Willcockson (303-757-7000).  This trip will traverse
several elevations.  Will check out summer mountain birds at Fillius Park,
Echo Lake, and Summit Lake.  Please preregister with leader. Limit 10
people.  Meet the leader at 0800 at Fillius Park,  Go west on I-70 to exit
252.  Exit onto Evergreen Parkway  (CO 74).  Go 2 miles on CO 74 to first
traffic light and turn right into Fillius Park.  Park at the shelter house.
 Bring lunch, water, hat, sunscreen for a day in the mountains.
