I have also uploaded a recording I made of the Dickcissel I found in Canon
City last week with a sonogram from Xeno-canto.org. I have wanted to get a
recording of one of the Dickcissels that come to Canon City to breed as it
has been my experience that they tend to sing a song that is different from
the Dickcissels I have heard singing in far eastern Colorado. This is the
first time I have uploaded a recording to Xeno-canto and getting my
recording converted to the correct format, etc took a little time. I have
borrowed a recording that cobirder/recorder/vocalization specialist Nathan
Pieplow did ( Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 2.5 ) of
a Dickcissel in Prowers County to show the difference in the song of the
Canon City Dickcissel. I have uploaded both of these to my Birds and
Nature blog <http://birdsandnature.blogspot.com/> .
