Hello, Birders.

Well, the consolation prize this morning, Thursday, Aug. 22nd, was a nice
Northern Waterthrush, just a few minutes ago, bopping around on the sliver of
shoreline along the north shore of Waneka Lake, immediately south of Greenlee
Preserve, Boulder County.

Earlier in the morning, I was recording nocturnal flight calls (practically
nothing on the move), then turned off the recorder, then, about 15 seconds
later twice heard what I'm nearly certain was the flight call of an American
Golden-Plover. The bird was heading southeast, so if anybody finds a lost
golden-plover later today at Cherry Creek or somewhere, please notify its owner.
