Cool and overcast all day. Small periods of rain. Not what I would call a
"fall-out" of birds around town but LCC was exciting.
Lamar Community College Woods (most of birds were in the woods between the
library (i.e. where the big loud AC unit is) and the tennis courts)
Blue-headed Vireo (1) at extreme north end
Oriole (2, both females, both probably Baltimore, did not get close looks)
Empidonax (total of about 8 individuals including Least and Dusky, one ID
pending)
Red-eyed Vireo (2)
Nashville Warbler (2)
Tennessee Warbler (1)
Summer Tanager (1f)
Ruby-crowned Kinglet (FOS at low elevation for me)
Ruby-throated Hummingbird (1f) seen at close range, very green above (including
the forehead)
Black-chinned Hummingbird (1f)
Northern Cardinal (2)
did not see Chestnut-sided Warbler today
did not see Scarlet Tanager today
Both Riverside and Fairmount Cemeteries were fairly quiet today. Did see
FOS-at-low-elevation Yellow-rumped Warblers at Fairmount.
