Greetings All Sorry for delay in remainder of yesterday's report. Below dam at Stalker Lake, Yuma County: One very bright PHILLY VIREO, a TENNESSEE WARBLER and a Baltimore Oriole. The remainder of Stalker and the town of Wray were nearly migrantless
Simmons SWA. Head south on JJ as if heading towards Beecher Island (look at CFO county birding website. This is just south of Wray. Go east a couple miles on Co Rd 22 until you see parking area. Walk towards thickets and trees to your south. This thicket is full of plums, rose berries (sorry, forgetting real name), and some other small fruits. Even mid-day I had 6 BELL'S VIREOS ( several singing), NASHVILLE WARBLER, catbird, chat, and two Red-breasted Nuthatches. The trees had lotsa RB and RH Woodpeckers. Holyoke Cemetery- dead (ha-ha). Two species of birds, one individual each. Haxtun city park was similar. At Frenchman Creek SWA, there was also a GC Flycatcher Cheers Steve.
