Tom was thanking me for pointing out the birds to him today. He hadn't yet found them when I got there and I happened to pick them out first and showed them to him. And I'm curious; can you point me to where this "world of birding" rule you mention appears? I don't recall seeing it in the ABA Birding Ethics but I'm glad you are the keeper of the "world of birding" rules and regulations for all of us uneducated posters.
