The weather for the DFO mountain lakes trip today was beautiful.  Too nice.  No
major cold fronts lately, and bird numbers reduced from last weekend.  Still we
found some nice birds.

Eleven Mile Reservoir:
Surf Scoter - 1
Black Scoter - 1
Common Loon - 4
Lapland Longspur - 2

Spinney Mountain Reservoir:
Surf Scoter - 1

Antero Reservoir:
White-winged Scoter - 3 adult males; first found on the water then flew RIGHT
past us for some KILLER views!
Common Loon - 1

Ice Pond (Buena Vista):
Barrow's Goldeneye - 5
Pinion Jay - many
Lewis's Woodpecker - 1

Mount Elbert Forebay:
Surf Scoter - 1

Blue River Wastewater Treatment - Silverthorne:
NO Barrow's Goldeneyes

The group will remember the White-winged Scoters for many years to come.
