Gull numbers were noticeably higher at Horseshoe Lake this afternoon. Thayer's Gull was conspicuously absent, but Lesser Black-backed Gull was off the charts. There were 8-10 adults and 6 immatures. I entered 14 onto ebird and considered it a conservative count. Gulls stage at various locations around the lake. At least 1 LBBG was present at each of 4 observation points around the lake. Most of them were visible from the end of Engelman Drive on the west side, or in the northwest corner, viewed from Elm Ct. Nick Komar Fort Collins CO
