I should also mention for anyone that is thinking about trying to find this bird that Banner Lakes SWA is only open on Saturdays through Monday and closed Tues-Fri.. It is a hunting area, so you may encounter hunters. And the Rangers are more than happy to give tickets if they find you there when it is closed. Better directions - From the parking lot walk due East across the field and you will see a grove of Russian Olive Trees. The bird was to the south, toward the road, in the Russian Olives (along with MANY robins).
