Hello, Birders. Earlier this morning, Monday, Nov. 18, I saw a tardy Barn Swallow, flying around the "pond" (it's basically not there anymore, courtesy of the flooding two months ago) just east of Valmont Presbyterian Church, Boulder County. Access is from 63rd St. and Valmont Rd. The site is private, but the pastor of the church says it's okay to view from the west side of the pond. There are Killdeer out there, too, so I'm guessing there must still be some good "bugs" at the site. And, hey, if the bugs run out with Thursday's snow, the birds can always go to the magic aphid tree a few miles to the west... Ted FloydLafayette, Boulder County, Colorado
