Cobirders,

A possible male white-winged scoter is hanging out on the Northern shore of
Boulder Reservoir. Has been sitting with his head tucked by his back, but has
a clear white streak behind his eye, is dark black above and below. Orange
spots from the legs are visible above the water heavily to the rear near the
flanks of the bird. Short black tail pointed upwards somewhat. Size was
slightly larger than the American wigeon swimming right next to it and slightly
smaller than the western grebes also nearby.

Additional birds of some significance - a common loon in the southeast corner
of the reservoir.

Regards,

Mark Minner-Lee
