Today as I was driving east on Lincoln Avenue near the intersection with
Chambers Road, there was a mature Bald Eagle soaring overhead. As always,
it was a beautiful sight, especially since that last remaining open space
along Lincoln is currently being destroyed for more housing developments.
At one time there was a nesting pair of Bald Eagles in the cottonwoods that
once existed where the Ridgegate exit off of I-25 is now.

I guess we call this progress but when I see the Eagle, it makes my day and
gives me hope.

Happy Holidays,
