Greetings All
On Sunday, Sean Walters and I wandered around Logan County. The highlight was an ALEUTIAN CACKLING GOOSE at Jumbo Reservoir, Logan County side. It was with a few Richy Cackling Geese and next to a massive swarm of 30,000+ white geese, mostly Snows, but with about 2000 Ross's. At Tamarack SWA, we had 2 Myrtle Warblers, one Myrtle x Audubon's, 1 Montane WB Nuthatch, 20+ Townsend's Solitaires. At N Sterling Reservoir, there still was some open water (none at Jumbo, Red Lion, nor Prewitt). 15,000 or so Snow Geese, an AMERICAN WHITE PELICAN, and a Common Loon where the highlights. Nary a gull to be seen. RL Hawks seemed everywhere, with > 20 during the drive from Jumbo to N Sterling (along with 8 or so Ferruginous and 3 or so Harlan's).
