Greetings All

Today I spent a couple hours attempting to goose and gull. LUNA Reservoir, just
ne. of CO 7 and I 25, had stacks of birds, mostly at great distance. Remember,
this is a place to visit well into afternoon or under cloudy conditions. 25+
Ruddy Ducks, 500+ N Shovelers, 4 Greater Scaup were among some of the more
interesting numbers.

Sienna Pond (Sheriden and Lowell in Broomfield) had a couple thousand geese, no
hybrids or interesting flavors of geese. Among the small pod of gulls there was
one THAYER'S, an adult.

The Anthem Ranch ponds were frozen and thus bird-free

Frederick's geese all flew north as I drove up. 26 Ruddy Ducks was the most
interesting find.

One of the Firestone Ponds, actually private property and difficult to view,
had 5000+ Cacklers, one blue-morph Snow x Ross's Goose, one Cackler x Snow
Goose, and one Canada x Ross's Goose for spice. No pure non-Canada/Cacklers in
the herd.

Union is a block of ice.

And that is the news from Lake IceBeGone.
