After a conspicuous absence of 1.5-2 years, Pine Siskins have returned in large numbers to my feeders. A flock of 20 that first appeared on Christmas Day, has more than tripled in size to the >74 that visited today. Unfortunately, no redpolls or Lesser Goldfinches.
Also had a brief visit from the neighborhood N. Cardinal on 12/25, making that the second Christmas visit in a row. I enjoyed Stephen Jones' and Ruth Carol Cushman's recent article on the cardinal: http://www.dailycamera.com/get-out/ci_24836119/january-nature-almanac-off-course-cardinal-delights-boulder Good birding, Thomas Heinrich Boulder, CO [email protected] www.pbase.com/birdercellist -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Colorado Birds" group.
