Please join Boulder County Audubon and Gary Lefko for an outing on the
eastern plains to look for wintering Birds of Prey.

“RAPTOR ALLEY” WITH THE “NUNN GUY”

Saturday, January 11, 2014: Join Gary Lefko, Nunn resident and
knowledgeable eastern plains birder, for a trip down raptor alley. It will
be possible to see up to 10 species, including many Ferruginous Hawks,
Eagles, Rough-legged Hawks, Northern Harriers, Kestrels and Prairie
Falcons. You will also have a great opportunity to sort through the
Red-tailed Hawk's many different color morphs. Who knows what owls might
be lurking in the wind-breaks? Meet either at 8:30 a.m., at “Honey’s Café”
(previously the Nunn Café), on the south side of Nunn, on Highway 85 or at
the Niwot Park and Ride, on Colorado 119, at 7 a.m. to car pool from the
Boulder/Longmont area.

The weather looks like it will be pleasant!
