Despite serious winds that sounded like I was standing next to a jet, I did see (Sun. afternoon 1:30): * a great blue heron at the marina, on a post out in the water * 2 male hooded mergansers, a couple of common golden eyes, and a dozen shovelers doing the circle dance * a beautiful bald eagle out on the ice, with gulls stalled above in the intense wind * a white goose with the Canadians, near the boat launch south of the marina, possibly a Ross's. Never got a clear enough view to be sure. Jane Ringer Littleton, CO
