This morning around 8:30, along with the Black-capped Chickadees, lingering
Dark-eyed Juncos, newly returned Common Grackles, and goldfinches (both
flavors), and a flyover Coopers Hawk, there was a nice flock of a dozen
Evening Grosbeaks along the Spring Creek Trail near Cottonwood Glen Park
(just north of Spring Canyon Park along the trail). The grosbeaks were
visiting nearby feeders and returning to the stream for a drink. They hung
around the 20 minutes or so I was there.
