Hi all,

Our HARRIS'S SPARROW continues today, now in full alternate plumage, a very
dapper gray, black and white bird, looking very different to the day we
first saw him back in early December (well, we figure its male as it sings
daily). He's suddenly now getting aggressive to any Red-winged Blackbirds
that get anywhere close to him.. time to go find a mate?

WHITE-CROWNED SPARROWS - up to a record 8 in the yard

PINYON JAYS still visiting daily too, in much reduced numbers now.

BLUE-GRAY GNATCATCHER in the yard yesterday - FOS for yard

EVENING GROSBEAKS up to 35

Intriguing report of a possible Vermilion Flycatcher - yesterday in Aspen
(Pitkin Cty). Male, in a tree between the base of the Gondola and the
square. Excellent description by a friend who feeds birds in Snowmass and
knows all the usual suspects well.. He's looking again today..

Finally, after days of wind and snow (that'll teach us to unplug the headed
bird water!) - a blue sky day.. spring is coming (again)!

Good birding all
