Hi all, I just thought I'd chime in and add that Tayler Brooks and I saw the Painted Redstart this morning on a quick trip to Crow Valley Campground. It was hanging out in the northwestern corner the entire time, and singing actively. I got a lengthy recording of it, which can be heard here: http://www.xeno-canto.org/176975.
On another note, I just finished up two grouse tours covering most of Colorado in April. I don't have too many unusual birds to report, and no real rarities, but I did find an early Hammond's Flycatcher at Colorado National Monument on April 25th, an early Least Flycatcher at Two Buttes on April 27th, and a very early White-rumped Sandpiper amid many Western and a few Baird's Sandpipers at Lake Cheraw, also on April 27th. Good birding to all, Andrew Spencer Centennial, CO -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Colorado Birds" group.
