Prince St access in Littleton on May 4.
BACA COUNTY:
--A BLACKBURNIAN WARBLER was reported by Kellner 1.5 miles S of CR MM on CR
45 at a stream crossing on May 3. Stay on the road.
BENT COUNTY:
--A Caspian Tern was reported by Drummond at Lake Hasty on May 2.
--On May 3, Percival reported a singing young male Summer Tanager and 2
Eastern Phoebes at Melody Tempel Grove.
--An ad m Black-throated Green Warbler was reported by Duane Nelson on the
south side of John Martin Reservoir on May 4.
--At Melody Tempel Grove on May 4, Duane Nelson reported m Kentucky Warbler
and Ovenbird.
--On May 5 at Tempel Grove, Duane Nelson reported WOOD THRUSH, 2 Ovenbirds,
Northern Watherthrush, and imm m Summer Tanager. On May 5 at Tempel Grove,
Leatherman reported SWAINSON'S WARBLER, Stulp found a m Golden-winged
Warbler, and Eastern Phoebe.
BOULDER COUNTY:
--An Eastern Phoebe was reported by Zorawowicz on the W side of Cottonwood
Marsh on May 1.
--A Broad-winged Hawk was reported by Kaempfer on the Fowler Trail outside
of Eldorado Springs on May 3.
--An Eastern Phoebe was reported by Kaempfer at the bridge over Boulder
Creek at 75th St on May 3.
--A GLOSSY IBIS was reported by Waltman at Cottonwood Marsh on May 5.
--A White-winged Dove was reported by Michael King at his feeders in

DELTA COUNTY:
--Garrison reported the Harris’s Sparrow continues near his feeder at his
FS office in Paonia, on May 1.
DOLORES COUNTY:
--Black Phoebes were reported by Dunmire at Bradfield Bridge Boat Ramp on
May 3.
DOUGLAS/JEFFERSON COUNTIES:
--On May 4, Suddjian reported 2 Eastern Phoebes, Black-and-White Warbler
and Black-throated Gray Warbler at Chatfield SP.
--On May 5 at the swim beach at Chatfield SP, Suddjian reported Green Heron.
EAGLE COUNTY:
--10 Barrow's Goldeneyes were reported by Filby at Spring Park Reservoir on
May 3.
FREMONT COUNTY:
--2 GLOSSY IBIS were reported by Moss in a flooded field near Florence on
May 5.
GARFIELD COUNTY:
--Filby reported on May 5 that his yard Harris's Sparrow in Carbondale is

JEFFERSON COUNTY:
--A Broad-winged Hawk was reported by Hill over the Dinosaur RIdge Hawk
Watch on May 2.
--A Broad-winged Hawk was reported by Farrell over the Dinosaur Ridge Hawk
Watch on May 3. On May 4 Wuerthele reported Broad-winged Hawk over Dinosur
Ridge Hawk Watch. On May 5, Commercon reported 3 Broad-winged Hawks over
the hawk watch.
--A Northern Parula was reported by Crooks at the WheatRidge Greenbelt on
May 4. It was on N side of river, east of Prospect Park Footbridge. The
Northern Parula was reported by Shade at the greenbelt on May 5.
LA PLATA COUNTY:
--A f PINE WARBLER was reported by Beatty at Pastorius SWA in PJ N of old
inlet ditch on E side with yellow-rumps on May 4.
LARIMER COUNTY:
--2 GLOSSY IBIS were reported by Donoghue at the N end of Deadman Lake
which is at the SE corner of CR 3 and Prospect Road on May 1.
--A Black-and-white Warbler was reported by Biggerstaff at Dixon Reservoir
in west Fort Collins on May 5. A Northern Parula was reported by Wade at
Dixon on May 5.
MESA COUNTY:
--A Black Phoebe was reported by Stigen on the Audubon Trail in Grand
Junction near "Phoebe Rock" on May 3 and on May 4.
MONTEZUMA COUNTY:
--A Black Phoebe was reported by Vest in Cortez between McElmo Creek and
Denny Lake on May 1.
--A NEOTROPIC CORMORANT was photographed by Bartlett at Denny Lake in
Cortez on May 2 and has been present for a couple of days. On May 3,
Morris reported NEOTROPIC CORMORANT at Denny Lake.
MONTROSE COUNTY:
--A f HOODED ORIOLE visited the jelly feeder at Coen Dexter's place in
Nulca on May 1 and May 2. The HOODED ORIOLE was
not seen on May 3.
PARK COUNTY:
--A Dunlin was reported by Suddjian at Antero Reservoir on May 3.
--An ad m Surf Scoter was reported by Suddjian at Spinney Reservoir on May
3.
--American Three-toed Woodpeckers were reports by Suddjian at two spots
along CR 56 on May 2.
OTERO COUNTY:
--A dark morph Broad-winged Hawk was reported by Percival at Rocky Ford SWA
on May 2.
OURAY COUNTY:
--2 Black Phoebes were reported by Kent Nelson at Billy Creek Bridge on May
3.
--Kent Nelson reported that a Black-throated Gray Warbler was banded at
Ridgway Reservoir on May 5.
PROWERS COUNTY:
--A Broad-winged Hawk was reported by Moss at Lamar Community College Woods
(LCCW) on April 30. On May 2, Moss reported a Broad-winged Hawk at LCCW.
--On May 1 Moss reported a Broad-winged Hawk at Fairmount Cemetery.
--A pair of Northern Cardinals was reported by Moss at the north end of
LCCW on May 2.
--A Red-bellied Woodpecker was reported by Moss at Fairmount Cemetery on
May 2.
--At LCCW on May 2, Percival reported Red-Bellied Woodpecker and Northern
Waterthrush.
--A Harris's Sparrow was reported by Percival at Riverside Cemetery on May
3.
--At LCCW on May 3, Percival reported singing YELLOW-THROATED WARBLER,
Nashville Warbler, Broad-winged Hawk, Field Sparrow, White-throated
Sparrow, Red-bellied Woodpecker, and Northern Cardinals.
--On May 3, near Fairmount Cemetery in Lamar Percival reported a singing
male Northern Parula.
--A breeding plumaged Harris's Sparrow was reported by Leatherman at
Riverside Cemetery in Lamar on May 5.
--At Fairmount Cemetery in Lamar on May 5, Leatherman reported Tennessee
Warbler and Red-bellied Woodpecker.
--At LCCW on May 5, Leatherman reported 3 Summer Tanagers, Red-bellied
Woodpecker, and a pair of Northern Cardinals.
PUEBLO COUNTY:
--A Western Palm Warbler was reported by Percival close to the Arkansas
River, east of Cottonwood Picnic Area below Pueblo Reservoir Dam on April
30 and May 1.
--A non-adult Lesser Black-backed Gull was reported by Percival at the
South Shore Marina at Pueblo Reservoir on May 1.
--2 Green Herons were reported by Percival at Pueblo City Park on May 1.
--On May 2 at Chico Basin Ranch (fee area), Drummond reported a
Black-throated Gray Warbler at HQ Willows and a Western Palm Warbler at
Rose Pond.
--On May 3 at Chico Basin Ranch, Hinds reported a White-eyed Vireo at HQ.
RIO GRANDE COUNTY:
--A Black-and-white Warbler was reported by Simmons at the Del Norte
Cemetery on May 5.
WELD COUNTY:
--On May 1, Sheeter reported PAINTED REDSTART and PINE WARBLER at Crow
Valley Campground. She warns
birders to bring rubber boots. The PAINTED REDSTART was seen by m.o.b. on
May 1. A Black-throated Gray Warbler
was reported by Moore at Crow Valley Campground on May 1. On May 2, the
PAINTED REDSTART, PINE WARBLER, and Black-throated Gray Warbler were seen
by m.o.b. at Crow Valley. On May 2, Martinez reported a Black-throated
Blue Warbler at Crow Valley Campground. On May 3, Mlodinow reported that
the PAINTED REDSTART continued at Crow Valley and it was seen by m.o.b. On
May 3, Baron reported PINE WARBLER in NW part of Crow Valley.
--A White-throated Sparrow was reported by Sheeter at Pearson Park W of
Fort Lupton off of Hwy 52 on May 2.
--A breeding plumaged Red-necked Grebe was reported by Mlodinow at Windsor
Lake on May 3.
--A Caspian Tern was reported by Kaempfer at St. Vrain SP on May 3.
--On May 3, Lefko reported an EASTERN TOWHEE at Crow Valley CG.
--On May 4, Gent found a WOOD THRUSH in the NW corner of Crow Valley CG.
YUMA COUNTY:
--On May 4 in Laird, Mlodinow reported m SCARLET TANAGER, Northern
Cardinal, and Red-bellied Woodpecker.
--On May 4 at Wray Fish Hatchery, Mlodinow reported f Summer Tanager,
White-throated Sparrow, and Harris's Sparrow.
--At Stalker Lake on May 4, Mlodinow reported Northern Waterthrush and
Northern Cardinal.
--At Wray City Park on May 4, Mlodinow reported Tennessee Warbler, Northern
Cardinal, and Red-belllied Woodpecker.

bare-leg-unfriendly plants such as poison ivy, thistles, and knapweed.
