Today at Rocky Mountain Arsenal NWR we saw an adult golden eagle harassing a flock of over 300 ring-billed gulls near the Havana Ponds area. He made a couple passes and then flew away when chased by a brave Swainson's hawk. In the same vicinity we saw a peregrine falcon fly over the fields, and I am told the Kingerys also saw him on Wednesday. There are 19 white-faced ibis on the wetland, but only a couple avocets and 3 spotted sandpipers remain.
