A Caspian Tern has been(Friday evening and Saturday AM) at the old gravel pit at the NW corner of Colorado Hwy 119 and Weld County Road 9 east of Longmont. It can usually be seen by parking on the north side of Co. 119. Parking along Weld Co road 7 is prohibited and sometimes enforced by State Park personel. There are 3-4 Forster's terns and a very pretty Red-breasted Merganser there also. Union Reservoir, 3 miles west and 1 mile north of there has had 2 Common Terns and 5 or more Black Terns.
