I found the reported Blue-winged Warbler this morning at about 8:15 singing
across the eastern boundary of Welchester Tree Grant Park in Lakewood (8th
Ave) and called it in for a good look. It was a three note buzz, not the
two note I am used to in the East. State bird only one mile from my home!

While watching a singing Rose-breasted Grosbeak near the stream and east of
the wooden bridge, spotted another male with a pale pink breast patch - a
first spring bird. I've seen three RBGR this spring and only one
Black-headed Grosbeak.
