Birders,
An alert reader corrected me about the name of the State Highway leading
south out of Las Animas. The road I referred to is Colorado State
Highway 101, not SH 109.
The Scissor-tailed Flycatcher was seen again later in the afternoon by
other birders at the same location on State Highway 109, 3.5 miles south
of Las Animas in Bent County.
