Robb Hinds, Chris Knight, and I walked Valco Ponds/Rock Canyon, below Pueblo Reservoir dam (Pueblo County) this morning.
Best birds: Evening Grosbeak - 1 west of Valco Ponds parking lot along the Bluff, calling and then seen Northern Waterthrush - 1 close to the River, west side of the Valco Ponds parking lot, along Hwy 96. Black Phoebe - 1 and Eastern Phoebe - 5 All three species of kingbirds, two Cassin's, two Western, and two Easterns. Male Ladder-backed Woodpecker in Rock Canyon, east side of the Osprey Picnic Area. Probably close to 10 Red-breasted Nuthatches. Brandon Percival Pueblo West, CO -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Colorado Birds" group.
