I went out to Drennan Road yesterday morning for about 2 hours from 7:45 to 9:45 and failed to see any Baird's Sparrows, or Grasshopper Sparrows for that matter. There were literally 100's of Vesper Sparrows along with a few Lark and Savannah Sparrows. As Steve Mlodinow indicated a few days ago the concentration of birds was around Curtis Road and Drennan. I wonder if the recent unsettled weather has, alas, convinced these welcome visitors to depart.
