near where the bridge crosses the creek/river, on September 10.
--Dowell reports a juvenile JAEGER at Boulder Reservoir on 9/16, an
intermediate morph. The jaeger ID itself has morphed from Parasitic to
Pomarine, then closer views led to the ID of Long-tailed Jaeger (Nunes).
Jaeger ID is tough. So is empid ID, but at least empids don't sit on the
water a half mile away. Also Sabine's Gulls.

*COSTILLA COUNTY: *Rawinski reported a trio of Sabine's Gulls at Smith
Reservoir SWA, near Blanca, on September 14.

*DENVER: *Alec Hopping reported a Caspian Tern at Marston Reservoir, flying
southeast toward Chatfield SP on September 14 and a Sabine's Gull at
Marston on September 15.

*EL PASO COUNTY:*
--Peterson reports an ARCTIC TERN at Big Johnson Reservoir, on September 8,
in low light. Bill Maynard saw the bird today (9/9) and confirmed it as an
ARCTIC TERN. The ARCTIC TERN was seen by Walbek and others from 11am til
noon on September 9. B. Maynard reports seeing the ARCTIC TERN at Big
Johnson on the opposite side of the reservoir where an island is seasonally
located. Scope for viewing desirable. The Lesser Black-backed Gull
continues at Big Johnson Reservoir.
--Drummond reports a BLUE-HEADED VIREO at the Cassita, at Chico Basin
Ranch, fee area, on September 13.
--A BAIRD'S SPARROW was found by Aaron Driscoll on Drennan Road on August
26. Many individuals have since reported up to 4 BAIRD’S SPARROWS near the
intersection of Drennan and Hemingway (this area is southeast of Colorado
Springs). On Sept. 7, Mlodinow reports 3 ad. Baird’s Sparrows within 45
mins. before reaching the 90-degree bend in Drennan Road, there was 1
cooperative ad. Baird’s Sparrow on Drennan Rd. just east of that 90 degree
bend. No subsequent news either way.

*JEFFERSON COUNTY:*
--A Ruby-throated Hummingbird was reported by Sanders on September 12, at
this home. During the quick looks he had of the bird, he observed a red
gorget, but it was a little different hue than the usual male Broad-tailed
Hummingbird. Contact him via email ([email protected]) if you want to
try to see the bird; visitors are welcome.
--A Black-and-White Warbler was reported on September 15 by Suddjian at the
Mother Cabrini Shrine above Golden.

*LARIMER COUNTY:*
--A PARASITIC JAEGER was reported by Komar at Timnath Reservoir on
September 13. The jaeger was not seen on the morning of September 14, nor
on September 15, but is to be looked for on large lakes farther south.
-- On September 14, Komar reported several tern species at Boyd Lake,
including FOUR ARCTIC TERNS. Helpful details are in Nick's post to CObirds
at 10 last evening. Seen again by Komar on 9/15. A first-cycle ARCTIC TERN
was reported from there by Walbek on 9/16.
An adult LONG-TAILED JAEGER was found by Bankert on September 15 at Boyd
Lake. Komar and others saw it that evening.

*PARK COUNTY:*
-- A PARASITIC JAEGER was reported on 9/16 by Suddjian. 2 Sabine's Gulls
were there too.

Osprey Picnic area on the North side of the Arkansas River, below Pueblo
Reservoir dam.

*WASHINGTON COUNTY:*
--Walbek reported a CANADA WARBLER from Crow Valley Campground on Sept 14
in the west ditch.

*WELD COUNTY:*
--1 Eastern Wood-Pewee was reported by Mlodinow at Pawnee National
Grassland--Crow Valley Campground on September 5. Heard on September 9 by
Leatherman, probably the same individual.
