Hi, I noted 3 Mountain Chickadees foraging with Black-capped Chickadees and Red-breasted Nuthatches at Grandview Cemetery in Fort Collins this morning. Other birds of note were Brown Creeper, both kinglets, Audubon's Warbler, Wilson's Warbler, Dark-eyed Junco (not seen well enough to ID race), Red Crossbill and Pine Siskin.
I also found 2 Mountain Chickadees at Sherwood Forest (grove in front of Forestry building) on the CSU campus later this morning. They also were mixed with Black-cappeds and Red-br. Nuts. I've seen and heard up to 17 crossbills at a time on the CSU campus in the past week, mostly as flyovers. I saw an ebird report of a Sabine's Gull at Lake Loveland today. I checked out the lake just before sunset and observed the bird in flight and on the water.
