This morning, I had a White-throated Sparrow(tan morph) show up in the backyard pre-front. He has been here all day eating underneath the niger in suburban Lakewood. This year it looks like we have an irruption of Pine Siskens and Red-breasted Nuthatches along the Front Range. On Friday, I went to see if our Golden-crowned Sparrow has returned again. The area was totally void of seed so I spread lots of millet and sunflower. It didn't take long for White-crowns, juncos, towhees and others to show. No Golden-crowned yet!!
