Hello, Birders. Join the Boulder Bird Club for the 4th annual *Great Boulder Caper, Black Friday, Nov. 28, 2014.* The capering starts at 7:30 a.m. at Cottonwood Marsh, off 75th St., in eastern Boulder County. We'll (mostly) bird all day, (constantly) eat leftovers, and (maybe) even go shopping. Birders of all interest levels are welcome; non-birding companions and general curiosity-seekers are especially welcome. You don't have to be with us all day; like Huckleberry Finn, you may come and go as you please. Some amount of jury-rigged carpooling is inevitable.
As to the birding, we can expect good numbers and diversity of ducks; grebes and maybe a loon or two; lots of gulls; and diverse land birds. We'll be out at an excellent time of year for Swamp Sparrows and Marsh Wrens. With so many eyes and ears--and tryptophan-fueled imaginations--we're likely to find a rarity or two. Here's a recap of last year's Caper: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/cobirds/JGOsgW6XnVg No RSVP required, but feel free to contact me by email (tedfloyd57 "at" HoTMaiL "dot" com) with any questions. I hope to see many of you on Black Friday! Ted Floyd Lafayette, Boulder County, Colorado -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Colorado Birds" group.
