There was a Common Loon at Claymore Lake in northwest Fort Collins this morning while I was there between 8:00 and 8:30. I saw the bird flying over the lake yesterday, as well, but it headed off to the east. This morning the bird was on the water in the middle of the lake and diving regularly.
Claymore Lake is a private lake, but good views (especially with a scope) are available from the parking lot for Reservoir Ridge Open Space. This is the "old" entrance to the Open Space, this parking lot being the one at the end of Michaud Lane, off of Overland Trail.
