A female Black Scoter was seen about 11 AM Saturday from the south side (Weld Co Rd 26) of Union Res., east of Longmont. It was flushed by a sculler and flew to the NW side, still visible from the south but farther away. Lots of other water birds have come in in the last day or so but we saw nothing else uncommon. There was a Northern Shrike in the scraggley trees at the residence at WCR 26 and WCR 3 1/2. Bill and Inez Prather, Longmont
