South Platte Park upstream of Mineral Ave had an *American Dipper* flying
downstream, *Swamp Sparrow*, *Merlin*, and *Say's Phoebe*. Cooley Lake had
a *Lesser Black-backed Gull*. A *Say's Phoebe* at St. Mary Church on South
Prince in Littleton was the first I had there since the breeding season
birds departed. [Arapahoe]

My Ken Caryl Valley yard was relatively rich in sparrows: 1 *White-throated
Sparrow*, 2 *Harris's Sparrows*, plus* American Tree Sparrow*, *Song
Sparrow*, *White-crowned Sparrow* (the latter two arrived with the recent
snow), and of course a herd of *juncos* of five flavors. Fly over *Evening
Grosbeak*. [JeffCo]

2 *White-winged Scoters* flew over C470 near South Platte Reservoir (in
Arapahoe airspace) heading toward Chatfield.

Chatfield's Marina sand spit had 5 *Tundra Swans*, 2 *Ross's Geese*, 1 *Greater
Scaup*, 1 *Common Loon*, and 8 *American White Pelicans* (Douglas Co). The
Swans flew over toward the Jefferson Co side of the world, and I later
refound them off the Swim Beach in JeffCo. An adult male *White-winged
Scoter *was also in that area, perhaps the same as I saw flying over C470
the day before.
