This has been posted in Texas with solid birders saying it is likely wild: <<At 3:25 PM this afternoon, I discovered an apparent pure adult Common Crane associating with roughly 4,000 Sandhill Cranes on Goose Lake at Muleshoe NWR. It didn't appear to have any leg bands, so I'm leaning wild origin, which isn't all that surprising given the number of Lessers in the area from summering locales in Siberia. However, pending acceptance from the TBRC, it will be a first state record for Texas! For now I have posted 2 photos on my Flickr page.
