This morning I visited Lake Trinidad SP (Las Animas) and was amazed by the
variety of ducks, loons, grebes, etc on the water. The highlights were:

    Common Loon - 2
    Red-throated Loon - 1
    Red-necked Grebe - 2
    Surf Scoter - 1
    White-winged Scoter - 1
    Long-tailed Duck - 1

This is the best birding that I've ever experienced at this location by
miles. Hunters were present.

Yesterday I stopped at Lathrop SP (Huerfano) which was teeming with
hundreds of gulls and ducks. The highlights here:

    Barrow's Goldeneye - 1 out of 100+ Common Goldeneyes.
    Red-necked Grebe - 2
    Long-tailed Duck - 1
