Hello, Birders.

Just a quick reminder that the fourth annual *Great Boulder Caper* is a
"go" for the coming Black Friday, Nov. 28th. We will begin to caper at
Cottonwood Marsh (Walden Ponds) off 75th St. at 7:30 a.m. The weather will
be ridiculously nice, sunny with a high near 70 and balmy zephyrs out of
the southwest. Surely you'd rather be out with cheery birders and beautiful
birds than inside the mall being trampled by surly shoppers? Well, what are
you waiting for! Come caper with us! We'll see you all in Boulder on Friday
morning.

No RSVP required. The outing, sponsored by the Boulder Bird Club, is free
and open to the public. Full details here:

P.s. While scouting yesterday evening for the Caper (the things we do for
you people...), Hannah and Andrew and I confirmed that the long-present
Golden-crowned Sparrow remains near Teller Lake No. 5, off Valmont Road.
This is what a Golden-crowned Sparrow looks like hiding in a juniper well
after sundown, seen through a cell phone: http://tinyurl.com/GCSp-teller
