Birders,

While driving through eastern Pueblo County on US 50 several times the past
week, I’ve seen two swans on water treatment ponds just north of US 50, and
just east of the Arkansas River. Normally, I haven’t had a scope with me, or
light conditions have been bad. This morning, armed with a spotting scope, I
confirmed them as two adult Tundra Swans. The exact location is between mile
markers 331 and 332, about ½ mile east of the Arkansas River. This is
approximately 1 ½ miles east of the junction of US 50 and State Highway 96,
approximately 20 miles east of Pueblo.

I let local Pueblo birders know before posting. Two additional birders
photographed them this afternoon.
