The Rocky Ford CBC was completed Tuesday  with six expert birders totaling
98 species.
Notable in addition to Brandon's Purple Finch were:

a young male Indigo Bunting found by Duane Nelson at the west edge of Rocky
Ford (new species for the count).

three greater yellowlegs (previous high had been two) with Mark Peterson
tallying two at Holbrook Lake and Nelson one at Valco Ponds.

one American White Pelican at Valco Ponds.

six killdeer including five at Holbrook Lake

one Says Phoebe at the RF golf course found by Nelson

a new high count of White-crowned Sparrow (1,447)
