Yesterday I birded the Weldona block on the Ft. Morgan CBC. This block covers
about a quarter of the entire circle, but doesn't have a lot of access, other
than roads. Best birding spots are always at the two bridges over the Platte
river.

Along CO 144 SE of "Long Bridge" we saw 65 Wild Turkey coming out of the
riparian areas to feed. In the marsh on the west side of the road south of
Long Bridge we had 3 Wilson's Snipe, 2 Virginia Rail, 2 Eastern Bluebirds and a
Mourning Dove. Three Eastern Screech Owls were also heard here before dawn.
Driving the one road across the north west section of the block produced a
single Golden Eagle and Merlin and a pair of Ferruginous and Rough-legged Hawks.

Finally we ended the day looking for and re-finding a perched Short-eared Owl
near the NE corner of the circle.
