Bill Maynard and I were able to find nearly all the birds he wanted to see around Pueblo Reservoir this morning, except for gulls, which are easier to find in the afternoon. Highlights this morning:White-winged Scoter - 1 (also seen by Margie Joy)Long-tailed Duck - 2 (male, female)Greater Scaup - 2Sage Thrasher - 1Northern Mockingbird - 1Red-throated Loon - 1Red-necked Grebe - 1also Eared and Western Grebes We saw all of these species from North Shore Marina west to West Fishing Road. We hadn't yet birded east of the North Shore Marina/North Picnic Road. There will be a gull field trip this afternoon, so hopefully there will be gulls around the South Shore Marina late in the day. It is now very windy at Pueblo Reservoir. It wasn't too bad this morning for Bill and I. Brandon Percival Pueblo West, CO
