I've had three pairs of common answers hanging out on the ponds where you live. Their mating ritual is really interesting in that, after they have mated, the female lays down on the water as if she's dead. It looks somewhat like a fish floating on top of the water, I can't even see her head.
There have still been flocks of smaller geese in the area. Cackling, Richardson's and lesser Canada geese. I am seeing them less and less as the days go by, however. It makes the pond look like a goose staging area.
