The last location of the male Vermilion Flycatcher, was west of the Cottonwood Picnic Area, along the Arkansas River, between this parking lot and road bridge (this is east/below Pueblo Reservoir dam), Pueblo County. It on both sides of the river, and seen by several people from the road bridge looking east. The bird was first found by Pearle Sandstorm-Smith and Clif Smith. Several of us searched for hours in the heat, and couldn't find it, Joy and Richard Lake, re-found it from the road bridge. There is a territorial singing Eastern Phoebe under this bridge, which did chase the Vermilion Flycatcher a couple of times. I'll try to post tomorrow as early as possible, if it is still present.
