CO birders :

I found a female Eastern Towhee this morning around the banding station
area at Chico Basin Ranch ( fee area ) , El Paso County . I had brief but
convincing view before she disappeared into the tumbleweed mountains which
still cover about 50 % of the area . Went back in the afternoon to try and
locate it but no luck . Most of the net lanes remain clear after last weeks
clearance operations . Ruby-crowned Kinglets were singing at the banding area ,
and there were Audubon's Warblers and a Hermit Thrush at HQ . Vesper Sparrows
were also migrating through .
