This crisp morning I rode my bike to McMurry Natural Area and saw 3 female Red-breasted Mergansers, one male Brown-headed Cowbird and a Killdeer as well as the usual morning chorus of Song Sparrows, Red-winged Blackbirds, Western Meadowlarks etc..
