This crisp morning I rode my bike to McMurry Natural Area and saw 3 female
Red-breasted Mergansers, one male Brown-headed Cowbird and a Killdeer as
well as the usual morning chorus of Song Sparrows, Red-winged Blackbirds,
Western Meadowlarks etc..

A few days ago on a nice morning while doing a bird activity with toddlers
we spotted some migrating raptors, 1 Sharp-shinned Hawk and 2 Cooper's Hawk
and about 50 local Turkey Vultures.

Good birding
