BENT COUNTY: --A Piping Plover was reported by Duane Nelson at John Martin Reservoir on April 9. On April 17, Duane Nelson reported that 3 more Piping Plovers have arrived at John Martin Reservoir. --A Caspian Tern was found by Duane Nelson at John Martin Reservoir on April 15. MORGAN COUNTY: --At Jackson Lake SP, Dowell reported a probable WESTERN GULL, 2 Thayer's Gulls, and ICELAND (Kumlien's) Gull on April 20. PROWERS COUNTY: --3 Northern Cardinal were reported by Komar at Lamar Community College Woods on April 15. PUEBLO COUNTY: --A Red-necked Grebe close to breeding plumage was reported by Percival off Sailboard launching area of Pueblo Reservoir on April 11. On April 19, Percival reported Red-necked Grebe from North Picnic Road at Pueblo Reservoir. --A BAIRD'S SPARROW was reported by Percival at Pueblo Reservoir SWA on the NW side on April 16. RIO GRANDE COUNTY: --The Black BRANT was reported by Simmons S of Monte Vista NWR on the W side of Hwy 15 on April 2. She said that a scope was needed to identify the bird. On April 5, Nelder reported Black BRANT at Monte Vista NWR. On April 9, Percival reported Black Brant at Monte Vista NWR. On April 15, Rawinski reported BRANT remains at Monte Vista NWR. It was seen off turnout on 8S Rd. WELD COUNTY: --A Chestnut-collared Longspur was reported by Fink at US 85 and CR 114 on April 13. --A Mountain Plover was reported by Fink 1 mile E of CR 57 and CR 96 on April 13. --At Murphy's Pasture, Fink reported McCown's Longspur on April 13. --A GLAUCOUS-WINGED GULL was reported by Mlodinow at Lower Latham Reservoir on April 16 --2 Mountain Plovers were reported by Bruening at the SW corner of CR 41 and CR 100 on April 19. --A GLAUCOUS-WINGED GULL was reported by Restiva at the North Weld County Landfill on April 19.
