Hi all

Tom McConnell and I birded Delta county today and had a very enjoyable
time..

As we headed out the Pinyon Jays invaded our feeders at home, and there was
a Swainson's Hawk on roadside poles by Hwy82 near Carbondale at Catherine
Store (Garfield)

In Hotchkiss there was no sign of the Western Screech Owl.

Fruitgrowers Reservoir was the best place where highlights included

American Bittern 1

Bonaparte's Gull 10+

Franklin's Gulls 20+

Ring-billed Gulls 15

Northern Harrier male

Peregrine Falcon 1 adult (female?)

White-faced Ibis 2

Willet 1

Marbled Godwit 84

Wilson's Phalarope 2

Western Sandpiper 5+

Least Sandpiper ca10

Black-necked Stilt 1

Sweitzer Lake, Delta

Common Loon 3

Bonaparte's Gull 5

Marbled Godwit 19

Eared Grebe ca80

Good birding all!

Dick Filby

Carbondale

Other birds included roadside Western Kingbirds..
