A view of Mann Reservoir in South Valley Park on my way to work this
morning produced 2 female *Red-necked Phalaropes*, 3 newly arrived female
*Buffleheads*, and a newly arrived female *Hooded Merganser*. The
phalaropes and merganser are rare for that body of water. When I looked
again in the late afternoon they were all absent.

Ketring Park had a moderate smattering of waterbirds of no special note. A
fast moving warbler flock in the cottonwoods was mostly the two
Yellow-rumped forms, but also contained a male *Tennessee Warbler*, a
*Yellow* and some *Orange-crowneds*. Other warblers outside that flock were
a female *Common Yellowthroat* and a *Wilson's*, and there was a *Gray
Catbird*. A *Western Tanager* called unseen from on high. Three *Red-breasted
Nuthatches* were also noted.

Two *Ospreys *passed over Santa Fe heading toward South Platte Park.
