ADAMS COUNTY:
--A White-eyed Vireo was reported by Adam Vesely at Barr Lake SP on May 2.
It was about 150 yrds N of footbridge across from Visitors Center.  On May
3, Chris Goulart refound the White-eyed Vireo at Barr Lake SP.

ARAPAHOE COUNTY:
--A Scissor-tailed Flycatcher was reported by Steve Kennedy at Cherry Creek
SP on the south side near 12 mile creek on May 5.
On May 7, Gene Rutherford reported Scissor-tailed Flycatcher by the N
entrance to Lake Loop before 9 am.  On May 8, Bob Brown
reported Scissor-tailed Flycatcher flying from Lake Loop.  The Scissor-tail
was reported by several other birders at Cherry Creek
later in the day on May 8.  On May 9, Mary Driscoll reported that the
Scissor-tailed Flycatcher was SE of Lake Loop in the morning and others
reported it at Cherry Creek SP during the day.
--A Gray Flycatcher was reported by Alec Hopping at South Platte Park,
Cooley Lake (guided access only) on May 9.

BACA COUNTY:
--A Blue-headed Vireo was reported by Kilpatrick, Gilbert, and Walbek at
Two Buttes SWA on May 3.
--A Scissor-tailed Flycatcher was reported by Jane Stulp in Walsh WTP on
May 5.  A Scissor-tailed Flycatcher continues
to be seen at the Thompson residence in Walsh on May 6.  If you wish to try
to see it contact Marsha Thompson at marshat AT centurytel.net to make
arrangements.
--A pair of Painted Buntings was reported by Kaempfer at Picture Canyon on
May 9.

BENT COUNTY:
--A  f CAPE MAY WARBLER was reported by Gene Rutherford on the N side of
Hasty Campground on May 6.
--2 or 3 Broad-winged Hawks were reported by Gene Rutherford at Melody
Tempel Grove on May 6.  Rutherford reports that the dirt road at bad in
this area.
--A HUDSONIAN GODWIT was reported by Lance Verhoeff in flooded fields
adjacent to CR 26.5 and CR JJ on May 6.  Please be aware the the fields and
farm roads are private property and no trespassing will be tolerated.  On
May 7, HUDSONIAN GODWIT was
reported by Drummond in flooded fields adjacent to CR 26.5 and CR JJ.  On
May 8, Austin Hess reported that the HUDSONIAN GODWIT continues in Bent
County.  On May 9, Lisa Edwards reported that the HUDSONIAN GODWIT
continues in Bent County.
--On May 8 Duane Nelson reported an ad M MOURNING WARBLER at Tempel Grove.
The CFO group reported imm Summer Tanager at Tempel Grove on May 8.
--At Hasty Campground on May 9, Kara Carragher and Lisa Edwards reported f
CAPE MAY WARBLER, molting m Summer Tanager, and f Baltimore Oriole.  At
Hasty Campground on May 9, Komar reported f Scott's Oriole and singing
Canyon Towhee.
--At John Martin Reservoir on May 9, Komar reported basic plumaged RED KNOT.

BOULDER COUNTY:
--On May 2, Christine Snitkin reported Black Phoebe at 75th St and Boulder
Creek.  On May 2, Tumasonis reported Eastern Phoebe at 75th and Boulder
Creek.  On May 7, Jane Baryames reported Black Phoebe at 75th St and
Boulder Creek.
--On May 4, Bushong reported Black Phoebe at Walden Pond
--3 American Three-toed Woodpeckers were reported by Tumasonis in Rocky Mt
NP above and below Ouzel Falls, Wild Basin trails on May 2.

CHAFFEE COUNTY:
--A pair of eastern Phoebe was reported by Forrest Luke in Salida at
fishing ponds at the N end of town on May 3.

DENVER COUNTY:
--A Broad-winged Hawk was reported by J Del Rosso at Denver Botanic Garden
on May 3.
--A Rock Wren was reported by J Del Rosso at Denver Botanic Garden on May 3
and May 6.

DOUGLAS COUNTY:
--Eastern Phoebes were reported by Suddjian at Plum Creek picnic Area at
Chatfield SP on May 4
--2 Eastern Phoebe were reported by Scott Manwaring upstream from
Kingfisher Bridge on May 2.  On May 3, an Eastern Phoebe was reported by
Halverstadt over the reservoir at Chatfield SP.
--A Scissor-tailed Flycatcher was reported by Paul Schlagbaum at Chatfield
near the Plum Creek picnic area on May 1.  The
flycatcher has been reported by many birders, most in the Plum Creek
Natural Area vicinity on May 1.
--A calling Least Flycatcher was reported by Scott Somershoe at Chatfield
SP by Kingfisher Bridge on May 3.  On May 4, Suddjian reported 4 Least
Flycatchers upstream of Kingfisher Bridge at Chatfield SP.

EAGLE COUNTY:
--A Barrow's Goldeneye was reported by JoAnn Riggle at Dotsero Ponds on May
5.

EL PASO COUNTY:
--On May 2, David Tonnessen reported Snowy Plover at Big Johnson.  On May
3, Mel Goff reported Snowy Plover at Big Johnson.  On May 4, Chris Brobin
reported Snowy Plover at Big Johnson.

--A f Painted Bunting was banded by Steve Brown at Clear Springs Ranch on
May 3.
--A singing Yellow-throated Vireo was reported by David Tonnessen at Area
3, Fountain Creek RP on May 3.
--2 Field Sparrows were reported by Jeff Mills at Paint Mines Park on May
4.  The park is SE of Calhan.
--A Lesser Black-backed Gull was reported by Peterson at Big Johnson on May
7.

EL PASO/PUEBLO COUNTIES (CB):
--At Chico Basin Ranch (fee area) on May 9, Bill Maynard reported
Gray-cheeked Thrush and Mountain Plovers on the El Paso side and Red-headed
Woodpecker on the Pueblo side.

JEFFERSON COUNTY:
--On May 4, Suddjian reported 2 Eastern Phoebe at Kingfisher Bridge at
Chatfield and 1 Eastern Phoebe by the parking lot.  On May 8, Mark Chavez
reported Eastern Phoebe upstream of Kingfisher Bridge at Chatfield SP.
--An Eastern Phoebe was reported by Alec Hopping at Chatfield SP at Deer
Creek on April 24.  On May 4, Suddjian reported Eastern Phoebe at Deer
Creek at Chatfield SP.
--An Eastern Phoebe was reported by Michael Kiessig at Denver Botanic
Gardens at Chatfield on May 3.
--3 Broad-winged Hawks were reported by Joyce Commercon on the Dinosaur
Ridge Hawk Watch on May 4.
--Least Flycatcher was reported by Suddjian downstream of Kingfisher Bridge
on May 7.

KIT CARSON COUNTY:
--A Wood Thrush was reported by Joey Kellner at Flagler SWA on May 8.

LA PLATA COUNTY:
--5 Acorn Woodpeckers were reported by Bea Weaver in the Rafter J
Subdivision of Durango on May 7.

LARIMER COUNTY:
--A Gray Flycatcher was reported by TC Walker at Dixon Reservoir on April
29.  A Gray Flycatcher was reported by Sparks at Dixon Reservoir on May 2.
--A Broad-winged Hawk was reported by Sparks flying over Lee Martinez Park
in Fort Collins on May 4.
--2 Broad-winged Hawks were reported by Leatherman flying over Grandview
Cemetery, one on May 3.
--A McCown's Longspur was reported by David Wade on CR 5 N of Buckeye Road
on May 0

LINCOLN COUNTY:
--2 Chestnut-collared Longspurs were reported by Mlodinow at CR T and CR 11
on May 4.
--2 Field Sparrows were reported by Mlodinow and Moore at Kinney Lake SWA
on May 4.
--A light-morph Broad-winged Hawks was reported by Kaempfer in Hugo on May
8.

MESA COUNTY:
--A Caspian Tern was reported by Lee Stigen flying around larger ponds
along the bike path halfway to Walter Walker Wildlife Area on May 3.
Stigen also reported Black Phoebe at near Phoebe Rock at Connected Lakes on
May 3.
--A BLACK-CHINNED SPARROW was reported by Forrest Luke in the Devil's
Kitchen area of Colorado National Monument on May 2.
--A Black Phoebe was reported by Dexter on May 4 and 5 under the 32 Road
Bridge over the Colorado River in Grand Junction.

MOFFAT COUNTY:
--Sagebrush Sparrows were reported by Forrest Luke at Oxbow SWA on May 4.

MONTEZUMA COUNTY:
--3 LUCY'S WARBLERS were reported by Gwen Moore in Yellowjacket Canyon on
May 2.

OTERO COUNTY:
--7 Snowy Plovers were reported by Dale Adams at Cheraw Reservoir on May
1.  On May 6, 5 Snowy Plovers were reported by Gene Rutherford at Lake
Cheraw.  On May 9, Komar reported 28 Snowy Plovers at Lake Cheraw.

PROWERS COUNTY:
--On May 5 & 6, Gene Rutherford reported 2 Red-bellied Woodpkecers and 2
pairs of Northern Cardinals at LCCW.
--On May 1, Dale Adams reported Red-bellied Woodpecker and Broad-winged
Hawk at LCCW.
--On May 6, Gene Rutherford reported a Red-bellied Woodpecker at Willow
Creek Park in Lamar.
--A singing Yellow-throated Vireo was reported by Gene Rutherford at LCCW
(middle area) on May 5 & 6.  On May 9, Kaempfer reported singing
Yellow-throated Vireo at LCCW.
--A singing male Baltimore Oriole was reported by Gene Rutherford at LCCW
on May 5.
--On May 9 in areas near LCCW, Kaempfer reported juv Broad-winged Hawk and
nesting Red-headed Woodpecker.

PUEBLO COUNTY:
--A Yellow-throated Vireo was reported by Brandon Percival at Rose Lawn
Cemetery in Blende on May 2.  It was along trees by pond in SW part of
Cemetery.
--A Broad-winged Hawk was reported by Brandon Percival at Pueblo City Park
on May 8.

RIO GRANDE COUNTY:
--An ad m Summer Tanager was found by Jerry Poe at Home Lake in Crabapple
Trees on May 2.

WELD COUNTY:
--A singing m Northern Cardinal was reported by Mlodinow at Crow Valley CG
in the SW corner on May 3.
--5 Whimbrel were reported by Mlodinow at Lower Latham on the east side on
May 3.
--On May 4, at Murphy's Pasture, Scott Someshoe reported 2 McCown's
Longspurs.
--2 Whimbrel were reported by Tom and Mary France at Woods Lake near Eaton
on May 6.
--A HUDSONIAN GODWIT was reported by Joey Kellner near LaSalle on CR 42 on
May 8.

YUMA COUNTY:
--On May 2, Sue Riffe reported ALDER FLYCATCHER and Red-headed Woodpecker
on CR 35 1/2 W of Laird.

The DFO Field Trip for Sunday, May 10 will be to Cherry Creek SP Wetlands
led by Karen von Saltza (kvonsaltza AT yahoo.com, 303-941-4881).  Meet the
leader at the Prairie Loop lot in Cherry Creek SP.  From either park
entrance follow Lake View Rd to the Prairie Loop that is locat at the south
rim of the reservoir.  State Parks Pass or day pass required.
This is a half-day trip pass through many diverse, habitats in three
miles.  Trails could be slippery, so dress accordingly.  Bring water and
snacks;  lunch optionla  Please register online or contact leader to
register.
